Frequently Asked Questions

What about privacy policy?

All of our conversations, including online correspondence, are strictly confidential and fully compliant with GDPR regulations. We will only share your information with a third party if we have your explicit permission.

Will my health insurance cover therapy?

Currently, I am not affiliated with any insurance companies for several important reasons. Opting for private payment offers you greater flexibility and freedom in selecting your healthcare, without the constraints of an insurance company dictating your treatment plan. Furthermore, when you pay privately, you are not required to obtain a mental health diagnosis or demonstrate that a particular treatment is deemed a medical necessity. This approach empowers you to prioritize your well being on your own terms.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I primarily accept bank transfers and issue invoices following each session. However, if you prefer, cash payments are also welcome.

How long will the process take?

Typically, addressing a specific problem or issue requires around 10 to 12 sessions. However, some individuals find it beneficial to schedule follow-up sessions monthly or quarterly. Those grappling with more chronic or cyclical challenges may need 20 or more sessions to achieve lasting progress.

What is therapy or counseling like?

Therapy, often referred to as psychotherapy or counseling, involves engaging with a trained therapist to address and resolve various challenges, including problematic behaviors, beliefs, emotions, relationship dynamics, and physical sensations. This process is characterized by deep, meaningful conversations where the therapist actively listens, supports, and guides you toward understanding and healing.

Depending on the specific issues you are facing, your therapist may assign home tasks or small experiments designed to facilitate change and promote progress. Additionally, any new concerns or challenges that arise between sessions can be openly discussed and explored, ensuring that your therapeutic journey remains relevant and responsive to your needs.

What is New Age Therapy?

New Age Therapy (NAT) is a versatile and integrative approach to healing that harmoniously blends various therapeutic techniques. This eclectic method draws from a rich tapestry of disciplines, including contemporary Western psychology, Jungian analytical and in-depth psychology, the ancient Eastern philosophy of The Tao, and mindfulness practices. By combining these diverse elements, NAT creates a holistic framework that supports personal growth and emotional well-being.

What about psycho education?

Psychoeducation is introduced at the outset of therapy, immediately following the initial intake session. This foundational component is invaluable for each individual, as it enhances the overall therapeutic process. Throughout therapy, clients are encouraged to ask questions about the methodologies employed, including their details and the tools utilized, as well as their specific purposes. For instance, one common tool used in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured table, where clients document particular aspects of their concerns and collaborate with their therapist to achieve their goals. Additionally, educational books may be recommended to further support the client’s understanding and growth
